Silica Glass Windows from Stock
Fused Silica normally contains OH which causes a strong absorption centred on 2.7μm limiting transmission to 2.2μm and restricting usefulness for IR applications. Grades with low OH (typically less than 10ppm) are available and they can be used effectively to 3.0μm.
Our IR windows are made from low OH material and are useful from 0.27μmto 3.0μm.
Our UV windows are made from higher purity material (which includes OH)and are useful from 0.18μmto 2.2μm.
