UV Grade Fused Silica.
Fused Silica normally contains OH which causes a strong absorption centred on 2.7μm limiting transmission to 2.2μm and restricting usefulness for IR applications. Grades with low OH (typically less than 10ppm) are available and they can be used effectively to 3.0μm.
These windows are made from UV grade material which contains OH and are useful from 0.18μmto 2.2μm.
